What a small world!!!

write an essay with this few sentences and include them somewhere in it:
OMG!! if i never saw her photos, i might never have believed it. what a small world!! or rather, what a small country!! this proved that spore is really small!! haha...

i dont know if i have ever told you guys. i think not. but maybe i told via before. but im sure she forgot with that lousy memory of hers.

in fuhua pri school, there was this buddy system where the p5ivers have to bring the p1-ers around during recess as we have the same timing for recess. By abusing using my role as a prefect, i managed to get out of the buddy system.

so while many of my prefect friends and non-prefect friends have duties to do or buddies to take care of during recess, i was a free bird. so i was always with my best friend, Annabel during recess. she had a buddy named shiyun. so through annabel, we got to know each other. she was so cute to call me zuer jie jie. so everytime during recess, the 3 of us would hang out together. haha...so when we went on to p6, we hardly saw her because our recess was of different time.

occasionally, i would still see her during morning flag assembly and after school sometimes. but that was all. when i graduated, it was like we will never ever see each other again.

During 2003 teachers' day, when i was in sec 1, i went back to Fuhua primary to visit my teachers. I went to the music room when we always have our choir practices and saw the choir there. so i wished my choir teachers in charge happy teachers' day and scanned the room for familiar faces. and to my utmost surprise! i saw shiyun! she was p3 at that time. i quickly called her name and she saw me. heng she remembered me, if not so embarassing. so i got to know from her that she joined the choir and i think i remember her having chinese dance as another CCA. because the choir was having their SYF in 2004, which is the next year, i asked her to inform me on choir stuffs for the following years. so i told her i would give her my number and asked if she have any pen and paper with her. she disappeared for quite sometime and i thought she forgotten about it. but then she called me and in her hand was a strip of colour paper and a pencil, or was it a pen? dont really remember. so i wrote down my number, we talked a little bit more and i left.

when i left, i was thinking to myself, that she wouldnt call me. i was quite sure about that. she's just 9 years old. im sure she wouldnt remember when the time comes. and true enough, she didnt call. but i know they got a silver cuz i asked another junior of mine. haha...

during my 4 years in sec school, i would sometimes remember her and would wonder how she is. i always asked myself if i see her one day, would i be able to remember her? i always remember her face. a very small and cute face.

years passed, and i graduated from sec school. for 1 whole year, i think i never thought about her at all. another year passed, which is now, 2008. one fine day i just suddenly remembered her. i counted the years and realised she should be in sec 2 now. so i thought to myself, confirm not in my school one, cuz if she really was in yuhua, i should have seen her before. so when im online sometimes, i will try to find her on friendster, using the name shiyun. but always got a lot of people with that name and i just gave up altogether.

and on that 1 fateful day, i think it was tuesday? i went to jia jia's blog. i havent been to her blog in a long time cuz she always didnt update. that idiot. but that day i just went to her blog. and true enough, she didnt update. AGAIN. suckerr. i scrolled to her tagboard and saw this message.

shiyun: hihi flute section de scared u 4get abt me anyway r u from fuhua primary.

i did a double take and read it properly. the name was correct, as i remembered. she asked jia if she was from fuhua pri, so she must be from fuhua pri herself. there was a link. so i clicked on it. it was a blog. i read the part about her and yes! she's from fuhua pri!! she also wrote the classes she was in. and the 1st one was 1C. from what i remembered, shiyun was from 1C too!

i quickly scanned the rest of the blog to see if she have any photos posted. none. i was a lil disappointed because i really wanted to find out if she was the one. so i quickly sms-ed jia jia to ask her to roll online.

when she came online, i asked her to help me look for photos of the shiyun from her tagboard. she said she didnt have any. so she asked her junior. and she got it. but alas! the photo she sent was too small and unclear for me to verify if she was really the one i know.

so i went to friendster and checked under school search. i clicked on fuhua primary from 2001 to 2006. and i found one isabel_shiyun! i quickly click on it. but to my dismay, it was private. i wasnt her friend, so i couldnt see her photos. her display pic was of happy feet. so i asked jia jia what to do. she said just add her as friend lor. so i did.

for wed and thurs, i kept coming online to check if she have accepted me already. but nothing happened. haoli (my pri sch friend and is yifang's, yixin's and zheng sheng's cousin too.) accepted though. haha...

until today, when i went online just now, i found out that she has already accepted my request! so i quickly clicked on her profile and viewed her photos. and voila!! SHE IS THE SHIYUN I KNOW!!!

i quickly sent her a msg. im not sure if she remembers me or not. because she was so young then. but i hope she do. =]

singapore is really so small. you can never know what would happen. people you never thought of seeing them ever again just pop up right before you.

Happy Valentine's Day 2008!!

a very happy valentine's day to everyone!! regardless if you're attached or single or totally not interested in anything else other than some boring shit in life. i still wish you all the same. *smiles*

studied with ting ting today. weijie (her bf) came to join. like bra, he's having his paper tomorrow. Last one i think. They're having their last papers!!! and we haven't even started!!! god. lucky we only have 2 papers. so you guys are spared from endless complaints and grumblings. thank your lucky valentine now. =]

we started the day by picking out stress management cards. that's totally lame la. shall not elaborate. wahhaa...went home with a packet of fries as company. hee...reached home and parents went out to partaye. AGAIN. they will be partying tomorrow also. and also on sat and sun. they're like partying all the way till new year ends la.

so to Bbs...who says nobody ever play for the whole 15 days??? here's living proof!! haha...

exams start on monday. so scared. and OH! i forgot about my piano lesson yesterday. and teacher says no make up lesson. so in total, i've lost $72 bucks for this months' piano lesson!!! dammit. dont ask me out to play again unless you're paying or it doesnt cost anything. cuz i have to recoup my losses!!! shouldnt have bought the concession for this month cuz i'm hardly using it. well...after exams i will use it to the max!! muahaha...

went to see ah long pte ltd yesterday with jsj and siao. heard from quite some people that it was not good. but i stand strong by the belief of everyone have different tastes and went to watch it. haha...well, it was NOT bad. but compared to I not stupid, it lost. haha...but i still laughed la. and i think Just Follow Law was better. heh.

CNY 2008!

hooray!! i had quite a fun CNY this year. cuz i finally gambled. eh what? 10 and 20 cents are also money ok! thanks to ah teng for teaching me how to play black jack. or was it BAN luck? luk? gor gor lak lak? oh wells.

Day 1

as usual...woke up early, had a vegetarian breakfast and went to temple to pay respects to my grandpa and great grandparents. then all will come back to my house cuz popo is with us! got an extra ang pow this year because of my cousin who just got married in december. so suay. haha. when i get married before new year, i would plan my honeymoon to be on new year! and subsequently, every year, i would be overseas during new year. even when i have children, i would throw them in spore to collect ang pows, and i'll be frolicking in some fun places around the world! good plan eh? tee hee. anways...it was the 1st time my couin-in-law was giving out ang pows, so she was a lil blur cuz she dont know who to give. she dont even know our names la. i think even our cousin also dont know our names. generation gap la. bo bian. and we hardly come into contact with him also. heh. so...yea. the main point of this one whole useless paragraph is...EXTRA ANG POW=MORE KA-CHING!!!

so everyone was like crammed into my popo's house while my house was completely empty la. so the 3 of us (bra, fats, me) went over to take ang pows and called some cousins to come over to play mahjong. being kids, we played mahjong in the wrong way. then when our parents came back, we were being corrected. aiya. doesn't matter. haha. as long as can continue the game and some one can game can liao. heh...

so as time passes...the mahjong table was taken over by the aunties. and the kids were left to entertain themselves. i forgot what i did. OH! i played with my baby cousin who kept crying the moment he can't see his parents and my baby newphews who was so interested in playing the piano. i "forced" them to call me 姑姑 first before i let them play. they were so cute! haha...

then when they went home, i went over to popo's house and watched tv. while bra, cousins, aunts and uncle were playing In Between. aiyo. bra kept losing money. play so big some more!! and he still continue playing! stupid shit.

then when i got bored, i went back home and found out fats had fallen asleep! what a pig. never mind, i fell asleep too. heh. then dad woke us up to bathe and get ready to go to my Biao jiu's house.

so off we went. but before that, we went over to wai po's house first. when we reached biao jiu's house, my cousin put on War Of The Worlds. i was not interested at first, cuz i totally dislike those science fiction movies or whatever it's called. but after a while, i just couldn't stop watching it. it was kinda interesting. so watched till the very end. heh...

after finishing the movie, went to a room full of gossip mongers...including my 2 cousins. godness. talking about my almost non-exsistent NNP!! how dare them!! although now many people are saying big is beautiful...but small still has its own beautiful qualities ok!!! HUMPH!!! PFFFTT!!!

then ate some bee hoon and home we go!!

Day 2

went over to my si yi's house. Lijun (bra's gf) went with us too. most of the cousins played In Between. after a while, all of us got so bored that we couldnt wait to finish the game. but first, we have to finish the money in the betting pool. but the betting pool just got bigger and bigger! we started out with $3.50 and it got to like $7 or $8 plus! haha...when some one won money, we were all so happy! haha...you should have seen our expressions. when someone lost, we were like "aiyah!" then give a sian expression. wahaha...who gambles like that you tell me?

after that, went over to my er yi's house. she ordered pizza and cooked some dishes. but the kids were full with pizza. so we didnt eat the other dishes she cooked. watched andy lau's and rene liu's A World Without Thieves. the ending was sad la. fats hid her face behind the pillow and shed some tears. or did she not? i couldnt rem. then the tv showed fashion show 2007 or something. kinda boring. ate some fried rice and the cousins playing poker came out of the room and played scrabble instead. i didnt play. didnt want to think. haha...so played mastermind with fats. also need to think la. but not as much scrabble right not. haha...

after sometime, home we go!!

Day 3

no house visiting with parents anymore. as my mum said "it's free and easy today." like going on tour overseas like that. haha. so went with meijing, willmen, keegan, donald and hoon tian to bai nian. they nnp. never plan go where. haha. so called up ms yap and asked if can go visit her. and we found out that she moved house!! aiyo. haha. moved further somemore, from paya lebar to tanah merah. win liao lo. she said ok.

but while we were on the train to her house, she called keegan and said her friends were coming over so is it ok to come another day? keegan was like...never mind la, we just pop by for a while, very fast one. cuz we nowhere to go liao. haha...so ms yap said ok. haha...sounds so reluctant. meijing and i was like...aiyoh...so thick skinned. later see her so paiseh. intruding. haha...all keegan's fault. reached tanah merah and we had such a HARD time finding her house! so ULU!! haha...wth man. really. kept getting lost.

but finally we found it. her house was 3 storey. so huge. haha...and her dog was cute too. via cant go. cuz her dog is like worse den husky. kept jumping on us. haha...so ms yap was like why last min then tell her? cuz she didnt prepare anything. she said we must have thought of her as a last resort. keegan said no! and tried to deny. haha...ms yap didnt looked convinced. actually, they decided to go ms yap's house at like 1am plus ba. so it wasnt exactly LAST MIN also. haha...

she showed us around her house. she had a selfish car! for her and her dog some more! poor mr quek. haha...after sometime, her friends came with food and drinks for us. all of us were like so paiseh. we reached her house at around 1, and we left at 3 plus. oh! her papa was there too. haha...before we left, he told us to concentrate on our studies and dont bother about having a relationship cuz we're still very young. all of us went "Orh." haha...

so we left and headed over to meijing's house. on the way back, the guys said that ms yap must be thinking "wah liao. move until so far also can let you people find me. so suay!" cuz we were all wondering why she didnt inform any of us when she moved house. then we kept laughing. haha...when we reached meijing's house, the guys and meijing played poker while i slept on her sofa. sorry. too tired liao. haha! then the guys left for andy's house while meijing went to meet her friends. i went home cuz i dont really know andy. so dont go. haha...

stayed at home and watched movies. Happy feet! so cute. haha...after a while, fats came back from watching CJ7. i forced her to help me fold the clothes. den my parents came home and shooed us to bed. so we went to sleep.

Day 4

everyone was coming to my house today. i should have felt excited and all but i was not. cuz i knew what was coming. helping to clean the house and prepare food. urgh. totally hate it when i am forced to wake up early just to do housework and stuffs. irritating la. but what choice do i have? NONE. so bo bian. fats was clever. she went out with her friends. but she also helped with some preparation la.

at around 1 plus, people started coming. i was holed up in my room reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the 2nd (or was it 3rd?) time. haha...bra came into my room and said why the hell are you in your room? come out la. i said dun wan. nothing for me to do. im a lousy host and im not the owner of the house either. so i can choose to stay in my room all i love.

when i went out to eat, all my aunts were like oh! you just woke up? i said no. i woke up at around 9 plus. i was staying in my room. (refusing to come out and meet you all, i thought to myself) they all knew what a sleepy head i was la. so i think they're not very convinced. whatever. heh.

at round 4 plus, LS and allan came to pick me up and we went over to ah buck's house. oh. how i miss husky. and she almost took away my 1st kiss lor! heng i pushed her away. haha...but i still love her all the same. haha...

after that, went bedok for dinner. but before we left, everyone was critisizing on what ah buck was wearing to dinner. haha. her mama said dont you dare wear like that go out hor! ah buck said i go school also wear like that what. mama said school is school! you can anyhow wear, now is go eat dinner. you better wear mei mei hor.

so ah buck went to change into her SHORT stripo dress we bought for her 17th bday. she came out and asked "need to put make up not?" with scarsm in her voice. haha...

so ordered BBQ seafood when we reached bedok. oh. forgot to return money to the guys. haha...after that headed over to LS's house. some watched tv, some played mahjong. LS suggested playing dai dee with wasabi crackers as forfeit. nnp. poor via, me and buck. so hot lor the wasabi. kept burning our tongue! heng play a while then time to go home liao. LS was disappointed. cuz no one help him finish the wasabi crackers. haha...orh bi.

Day 5

went to pearly's house to bai nian. known her since sec 2 and this was only the 3rd time going to her house. apparently, she and her family not very hao ke one. (don't really like to have guests.) so unfriendly hor. haha...her dad was home though. i always liked going to her house and her room. her room always very neat one lor. haha...

cooked maggie mee to eat for lunch. stupid teng kept complaining that i cooked the noodles till it's too soft. i like lei! complain so much. dont eat!

watched lollipop cuz pearly loved it. haha. bth. dont know what she sees in them. then headed over to teng's house to sing, play mahjong and do some "charity". haha. damn funny. "pls call 1900-112-6868 for 5 dollar donation, 6878 for 50 dollar donation and 6888 for 100 dollar donation. pls. these people really need your help!" wahaha...wth.

her mum treat us to KFC. so we called delivery. then all watched channel 55 the 8pm show. it got us all hooked. haha...today is the last episode. must remember to ask them for the ending. wahaha...

so sent pearly home and all headed over to my house. played mahjong, then In Between then blackjack. parents came home in the middle of our playing. at around 12am, they went home. fun day spent with lotsa laughters!! haha...

Day 6

which is today...parents' friends are coming over. so mum shouted at me to clean the house. so i swept and mopped. but only the living room. heck care the bedrooms cuz i dont think the guests are going to go into the rooms. haha...and now im here blogging. watching some videos also. and kept laughing to myself. wahaha...

okays...i have to say i kinda enjoy myself this new year. some years was really boring and i bth. haha...this is the 2nd time my friends came over to visit. the 1st time was HER and co. (which included teng also lor.) haha...oh wells.

Updates recently!!

quite a number of events happened in the past 2 days. my cousin's ROM, lunch with the gang, renuion dinner with family (dad's side) and dating with Bbs today. heh.

2nd Feb 2008

My cousin had her ROM at Amara Hotel poolside garden. because fats and me were travelling there via train ourselves, we were slightly late. heh. Some more i didn't go to amara hotel before unlike most of my other friends. (for the 2005 yuhua d&d) so the both of us kinda got a little lost. we were crapping so happily that we almost missed the Tanjong Pagar station! haha. it was like...

"wahahhhahha...hahahahah...hehehehe...." *laugh and laugh*

"ding dong. *insert station name*"

"wahahahaahha...hahahahha...heheheheh...eh, what station is this?"

*bends down to look out of the window* (wearing heels you see. heh.)

and heng we made it. heh.

then walked out of the station and found out it was raining. not very heavily, but enough to make you quite wet if you walk without an umbrella. and we didnt bring an umbrella along. how lucky can your day get? to make matters worse, our feet was killing us. (Note to self: NEVER EVER wear heels out again if there is no car for transport.)

as i was not wearing my specs or my contact lens, i couldn't see very well. so we stopped walking in the rain and i tried to find my specs in my bag. i took a long time, cuz i couldn't feel the damn case. fats was really irritated and asked me to hurry up. i got irritated and asked her to look for the hotel herself as she has better vision than me with her specs on. she retorted that how would she know which hotel is it? i practically screamed at her when i said "you no eyes ah!!? look for the hotel name la!!!!"

piang. shoot me please. thank god i'm with her. if not, she might still be waiting for the hotel to magically appear in front of her with a hugeass sign sticking in her face that says "amara hotel" till this very day. *shakes head*

so i finally found my specs and saw the damn name written in what seemed like cursive letters. (or some sort. confirm not arial or times new roman or any other fonts we usually use.) no wonder i had such a hard time looking for it. stupid hotel. for people who want to open their own hotel or shops or some place that needs a name...please, write it in a font where every single person can read or read easily. if not, you might just end up losing many customers cuz no one can find your place.

"where IS the shop!!? you know what? forget it. let's just go some place else. i HATE finding places that seemed like they don't exsist! look! we have already walked past this stupid/silly/disgusting etc. looking shop with a shop name that nobody can read so many times already! i dont think it is anywhere near here. let's go."

so ok. walked over to amara with killing feet in the rain and we can't find the poolside garden. cousin called and we said we were at subway, so they came to get us. but we were already on our way to the poolside garden already. so when we reached the poolside garden, they reached subway. heh.

so the solemnization ceremony started. "let us now welcome the happy couple!" *applauses, threw rose petals at them, a few whoops of joy and they reached where they're supposed to reach and we sat down*

i could tell my cousin was REEEALLY happy! she looked like she was about to cry when the man pronounced them husband and wife. i couldnt believe that she was getting married too! like...i dont know how to explain. it was all so surreal. haha...

then we proceeded to take photos and head down a few floors for hi-tea reception. the snacks were kinda nice. the mee siam was good although too spicy. ate until quite full. the tiramisu cheesecake was awesome. took third helpings of it. hee.

my cousin-in-law is a very friendly guy. actually took the trouble to shake our hands one by one and asked for our name. he haven't seen fats and me before. yea. i saw him like only once, and the next thing i know...

"jo ah. xuelin jie jie is getting married." was quite shocked when i heard this news from my mum. haha...

her husband had a very sweet surprise for her during the hi-tea. he said that when he first know sherene (my cousin), she loved macdonalds sausage egg muffin or whatever burger (just sausage nnp muffin la.) very much. so she told him before if he were ever to marry her, he must buy her one whenever she requested for one. i didn't see clearly, but i think he gave her one right there and then. he said he didn't promise her then, but he's going to promise her now. as her husband. aww! isn't that just so SWEEEET?? i could almost die of diabetes. (ok. that was a really lame expression. but it was still 100% better then ah buck's see beh cheesy pick up line!!! stole the shit and put on your face ah!)

so he had written a contract and the contents were he promised that he would buy her a sausagewhatevermuffun whenever she feel like eating it. and if he didn't get one when she wanted one, he would make it up to her by having a candle lit dinner the very next day. but one day can only have one burger. haha...he have the rights to terminate the contract if she ever exceed 60kg. haha...we all laughed at this. so he asked my cousin to sign on it if she agrees with the terms and conditions. my cousin was like giggling la. and said "erm...i'm very close to 60 already lei. 70 can?" we all laughed. so her husband asked everyone "do you guys think it's ok with 70?" we were all like" yes!!". come on la. girls put on weight so much faster than guys, i had to make it known if not...poor cousin of mine. haha...so he was..."ok ok. 70. change to 70 then." haha. so my cousin signed it and the contract is valid! haha...they then proceed to sing 选择. a very popular duet when i was very young. sung by sally yeh and husband george lam if i'm not wrong. and if i'm wrong...weeelll...what can you do to me huh? heh.

so after everything. fats, me, ah zhen and her mother went to bugis to shop. painful experience literally, so shall not say much. saw peishan, anthony and sarah there. now. don't give me that shocked look. they were NOT together. saw them separately la. ma yi ge and sarah were together though. although didnt see sarah as she was trying on clothes. haha...


with the bride!! she buay tahan we were all taller then her even though she was wearing 3 inch high heels. haha...



with the cousins who went. wanted to make noise pollution by playing the grand piano. but it seemed locked. cant open it. oh well. *shrugs*

had lunch with the harmonica bunch. graduates from all over the years and mdm peng. haven't seen mdm peng for such a long time ever since i graduate. haha...

sam came to fetch xiang and i with via and chee how in the car and off we went to fetch mdm peng. mdm peng was commenting why we never "woo" sam when he's such a good catch. we were like trying to stifle our laughters at the back of the car la. haha...it's SAM mdm peng. haha...oops. sorry sam. tee hee. hee tee.

reached the restaurant and none of our friends reached yet. waited for like 1 hour plus before everyone reached and we can start eating. via, xiang, how and i were STARVING!! xiang and me didnt eat breakfast somemore!! *wails*

the food was not bad. we sat with our usual jie meis plus ma yi ge, crazy ger, good fren and peishan. long time didnt see peishan although i just saw her at bugis the day before. haha. kept talking cock and laughing admist all the eating. haha...should do this like every year. haha...

had fun. after that. went far east PLAZA. not shopping centre or shopping complex. can't believe my dad asked me the same thing jesper did when he came to fetch me. my dad fetched me la. not jesper. haha...

went to jing yu man tang for renuion dinner again. the food wasnt very nice this year. dont know why. usually, it was not bad. haha...

once again, i was blown away by my cousin's singing. i really like to hear them sing. haha...and i will never go KTV with them. ever.

ate until quite full den went home and read DE. which is totally useless.

watched 27 dresses with Bbs. i must say i enjoyed myself very much. the movie + the company. haha...finally, one movie which i see where James Marsden gets the girl. for all the movies he acted in, he had never gotten the girl which he wants. haha. poor thing. but he is just SO dashing! why doesnt he get the girl? always is someone lousier who snagged the prize. unfair shit. felt so sorry for him when i watch Enchanted. haha. although he did end up with Nancy. but it's just not the one he wanted in the first place. haha...

oh wells. i liked katherine heigl very much. looked very natural. it was so heart breaking when she had to plan her sister's wedding with her boss whom she was madly in love with for many years. the sister's a whore. urgh. fats better watch out. *evil look*



totally dashing. and i just found out he and i were born on the same day!! he was born 17 years earlier though i think. haha. married with 2 children. lucky wife of his. haha...

after the movie, went to eat curry puff. was telling Bbs how we looked like we just lost our jobs and only had enough money to eat 90 cents curry puffs. haha. kept on making stupid jokes and laughing all the way. my tummy is aching. haha...

thanks Bbs for the movie treat, took my mind off the dreaded topic we talked about. haha...
